Hari Jayanti - 2016, Haridham
On account of Ram Navmi, the 236th Birth anniversary of Lord Shri Swaminarayan and the 36th anniversary of Haridham Temple’s Patotsava (Ram Navmi, 1981 – 2016), a special program of Mahapuja and the worship of the feet of Shri Thakorji was arranged in Haridham Temple on Friday, the 15th April 2016. This was followed by a sabha in the presence of saint leader P. Kothariswami in which, around 5500 devotees had participated.
To welcome the trio of these occasions, the worshippers in the temple and the saints and the sahishnu brothers of decoration dept. had elegantly decorated Shri Thakorji and the entire temple. At 8:00 am in the morning on this holy day, having performed shodshopchar worship of Shri Thakorji and Guruhari P.P. SwamiShri performing Mahapuja in front of the central house, P. Niranjanswami had, with piteous voice, put up a prayer at their lotus feet on behalf of the entire Gunatit Society to make them all able to always/every moment accept Shri Maharaj and Shri Swamiji to be supremely divine, the supreme, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, beneficent, welfare doer by becoming Das Na Das at every moment of life and requested them to permanently stay in our hearts as we had placed you in this temple 36 years before.
After the completion of Mahapuja, the moment, for which everybody was waiting like a chatak bird had come when, a only day in the entire year when everybody is allowed to enter the central house of the temple to worship the feet of Shri Thakorji with chandan and to present his devotion. First of all, P. Kothariswami performed the pujan/worship of the statues (murties) of Shri Aksharpurushottam Maharaj with chandan, panchamrut, water mixed with saffron and pure water. Then, everybody worshiped the feet of Shri Thakorji with chandan one by one in queue.
The general sabha started at 10:30 pm in the Ambrish Hall after the worship process. While handling the sabha, P. Guruprasadswami explained the specific importance/glory of today’s day from the traditional angle and informed all the devotees about the history of Swaminarayan Sect and that of Haridham Temple as well. Then, in his address, P. Shrutiprakashswami explained the aim of Lord Swaminarayan behind His coming to this earth and to continue the Gunatit regular succession. By narrating the related incidents/examples, he also said that, Lord Swaminarayan gave away/distributed total result/gain of His hardest devout austerity to establish and develop the qualities of religion, real knowledge, renunciation (vairagya) and devotion in the life of everybody whosoever came in His touch/contact and described the compassion of Gunatit persons. He also narrated the hard and un-describable devout austerity by P.P. Swamiji during the last 50 years and, he described His Suhradbhav (Wholehearted acceptance) with all the devotees. He also said that, the real devotion towards His God and Guru is always/constantly/continuously found to be dripping from every movement by P.P. Swamiji and made a prayer on this pious day that, may we, all the devotees also, acquire the similar qualities and begged for that kind of strength from God/Swamiji.
Then, the statues of Shri Thakorji and of Guruhari Swamishri were worshipped by garlanding them. The saint leaders P. Premswami had presented a special garland to the statue of P.P. SwamiShri. On behalf of the sisters from Bhakti Ashram and the devotees from foreign also, the statue of P.P. SwamiShri was worshipped by garlanding it. The devotees from Punjab and U.P. had welcomed P. Kothariswami, P. Shashtriswami and P. Fuvaji by garlanding them. After the garlanding ceremony, a D.V.D. of grand Atmiya Ceremony celebrated in January 2016 in Suarat was released at the hands of saint leader P. Kothariswamiji.
Then, on this occasion, with his weeping heart, Shri P.P. Trivedi Sir (the addl. Judge) described the supremacy of P.P. Swamiji’s blessings and said that, his wife, who was suffering from a most fatal disease like Cancer and bound to die within 4 to 6 months as per all the other doctors, could survive and is living a perfectly healthy life even today, after 3 years also, only and simply because of P.P. Swamiji’s blessings and desire, and once again he thanked P.P. Swamiji for this. To conclude, he said that, as a judge, I have a very hard heart and I am never impressed by anybody at all but, I will surely say and admit from my own personal experience that, the Lord Swaminarayan is fully working through P.P. Swamiji at present.
This was followed by an address by the president of entire satsang society Shri Viththaldas, who, while narrating the spiritual importance of today’s day said that, this is a day for all of us to present our prayer before the God/presently, the Swamiji, and if we really/sincerely do so, for any of our failures in living the life as per His wish/instructions, He is so kind that, He will surely forgive us for the same and give us the required understanding and the strength to live right/properly again, if we beg for it from Him. Secondly, talking about another secret/important matter he said that, there is absolutely no other way/solution/alternative to repeatedly remembering and to think of the actions/deeds of the present God for our welfare, meaning, to accept the present/existing God/saint in our life fully and to live totally as per His desire/instructions is the only real sadhana/efforts for all of us.
In the end of the sabha, P. Kothariswami, the spiritual mother of all the satsangis, had requested for the blessings from Guruhari P.P. SwamiShri. He said that, the God’s camera is so big that, it constantly notes/observes each and every action/movement and thoughts/desires by us. We think/believe that, we have got the present/existing God with us but, don’t act with a constant consciousness that, he is in front of us and is minutely observing/watching each and every action by us, otherwise, all of our speeches, thoughts and the actions would have been quite different. God has come to this earth for making all of us very happy but, we are still unhappy, because, we all are looking at each other with the feelings, intentions of Hath-Maan-Irshya (obstinacy-ego-envy), instead of that, we should learn to do that with an eye/sight full of their relation (sambandh/contact) with God. Talking about Nishtha (trust/faith), he said that, if we have that totally in God/Swamiji, there is always the happiness and only the happiness in our life. He presented a prayer at the lotus feet of Shri Thakorji and P.P. Swamiji on today’s day that, may all the devotees get enough strength to progress on their path of sadhana/efforts.
After the meeting, all the elderly saints and the guests had performed arti before Shri Thakorji. It being the anniversary of the temple today, the saints had dressed the Thakorji with the special clothes. All the saints, the elderly devotees and the guests had, through the medium of arti, prayed Shri Thakorji to kindly stay permanently in their heart-temples. Today, it being a day of fast for everybody, all had taken only the spicy whey before proceeding to their home-temples.
On today’s very pious day, the big/respected persons like Shri P.P. Trivedi Sir (Addl. Judge.), Shri Ashokbhai Patel (Chicago), Shri Hasmukhbhai Patel (Los Angeles), Shri Mulshankarbhai Godwala (Mumbai), Shri Ketulbhai Bhatt (Renowned Builder), Shri Pareshbhai Shah (C.M., Sujal Ch. Trust), Shri Manojbhai (C.M., M.N.C. Club) had also remained present and taken the advantage of arti and the darshans of Shri Thakorji.
The program of celebrating Lord Swaminarayan’s birth anniversary was kept with presentation of Kirtan Bhakti in the night in the presence of saint leader P. Kothariswami and, at 8:30 pm, the saints of Suhrad Sangeet Mandal and Mumbai’s well known artist Shri Jayeshbhai Gandhi had immersed everybody with their sweet and melodious devotional songs.
Sharp at 10:10 pm, P. Kothariswami, the elderly saints, the respected guest like Shri Rasikbhai Patel (BJP worker, Khambhat), Shri Nanubha Darbar (Mitali, Khambhat), Shri Ramanbhai Patel (Kali Talavadi) and the elderly devotees coming from the surrounding areas all had jointly performed the arti of God’s birth day. After this, a variety of different tasty/spicy food items were, in the form of “Annakut”, offered to Shri Thakorji. All the devotees present there had watched and enjoyed to their full satisfaction the scene of saints rock Shri Lalji with silken string put in the decorated cradle and permanently fixed this picture of Shri Thakorji in their heart.
In this Kirtan Aradhana, around 2500 devotees from Vadodara and its surrounding villages had come who all had proceeded to their destinations after taking the Prasad of Panchajiri in the end of the program, remembering the memories of the entire celebration.
