Gurupoornima - 2016, Junagadh

On Date: 17 July 2016

The festival of Gurupurnima was celebrated with full devotion in Domadiya Wadi in Junagadh in the presence of regional saint leader of Gunatit Pradesh P. Suyogjivanswami and the elderly saints from Haridham, Sokhada P. Dasswami and P. Sanatanswami on Sunday, the 17th July 2016 in which, in addition to Janagadh, around 1500 devotees from Keshod, Veraval, Manavadar, Dhoraji and Fareni along with renowned personalities from social and political fields also remained present to take the benefit of sermons and Gurupujan.

The enthusiastic youths had, under the supervision of regional volunteers, very beautifully decorated the stage by placing the idols of Guruhari Swamishree and Shree Thakorjee in the central place. The devotees from the Kirtanmandal had made the entire surrounding atmosphere sacred and alive by presenting the Welcome Sloakas and Dhoon-Bhajans in the beginning of the sabha.

After garlanding Shree Thakorjee and Guruhari Swamishree, the devotees of different areas had also garlanded the saints collectively. This was followed by an address by a jealous volunteer Sri Ujjavalbhai Vachhani who said that, the worship or the birthdays of God is celebrated in many countries but, the guru has been worshiped as God only in India and, we are the luckiest ones as, we all have gathered here to worship the evident God in the form of a Guru.

Then, while describing as to what is called the real gurupujan, the elderly volunteer of the region, P. Bipinbhai Vaidya said that, surrendering the mind and intellect at the feet of guru only is the real gurupujan.

While remembering the president of Gunatit Pradesh Sri Jamanbhai Trambadiya, who died during the sabha of Gurupurnima only 5 years back, the controller of the sabha and elderly volunteer of the pradesh, P.B. Mohanbhai Patodiya appreciated his heroism and personal relations with Swamishree while also appreciating the devotional services and the spirit of behaving like a servant of the devotees associated with Swamiji by the devotees of Gunatit Pradesh.

Then, describing the incidents between Guruhari Swamiji and His Gurudev Yogiji Maharaj, P. Suyogjivanswami said that, giving up/leaving aside all our own thinking, beliefs and truths at the feet of our Guru only is the real celebration of Gurupurnima and saying that, when Guru is giving the right training to his disciple, it is his duty to continue to remain with him peacefully and also advised to take the almighty God only as the doer/controller/inspirer of each and every incidents of the life.

The elderly saint P. Dasswami described the incidents to show how Guruhari P.P. Swamiji had behaved with His Guru Yogiji Maharaj as a result of which, Shreeji Maharaj Himself chose to totally/permanently stay within Him and narrating his own personal experiences with high dignitaries from India and abroad, he showed how great positive and dynamic change have been brought about in their life by P.P. Swamiji as a result of His 51 years’ sacrifice/dedication/hard work for all of them which has spread the fragrance of His own life and creation of a vast society of people living a noble and pure/pious life today all over the world.

In the end, all had enjoyed the divine blessing speech by P.P. Swamiji through a video presentation.

Then, all the devotees and the invitee guests had worshiped the saints who came from Haridham with a spirit of worshiping P.P. Swamiji Himself.

The dignitaries like the mayor of Junagadh city Sri Jitubhai Hirpara, Sri Yogibhai Padhiyar (Pres. BJP, Junagadh city), Sri Shailesh Dave (Corp. Junagadh), Sri Harjibhai Sardhara (Vice C.M., Marketing Yard), Sri Chetanbhai Faladu (Leading Builder), Sri Ratibhai Maradiya (Leading Industrialist), Sri P.V. Patel Sir (Agr. Uni., Junagadh) also specially remained present on this occasion.

Ignoring even the rainy season, nearly 1500 devotees attended this function of Gurupurnima and took the benefit of Gurupujan and the mahaprasad.
