The festival of Annakutotsava was celebrated at 5.30 pm with great zeal in Atmiya Vidya Dham at Bakrol, Anand in the obvious divine presence of Guruhari P.P. Hariprasadswamiji on Sunday, the 13th November 2016 in which, around 4000 devotees from Anand, Kheda, Nadiad, Vidyanagar, Bakrol and surrounding areas had remained present to take the benefit of Swmishree’s darshans, divine speech and the Prasad.
In the beginning of the sabha, the members of Vidyanagar Atmiya Kirtan Mandal had presented nice kirtanbhakti to soak everybody with their tune of devotion.
In his occasional speech, explaining as to how we can win over our internal vices like obstinacy, reverence and envy in the company of real spiritual persons by narrating the incidents experienced by several devotees in the company of Guruhari Swamishree, the active Volunteer from Nadiad P.B. Jaybhai said that, the Annakutotsava means a festival to present/express our devotion towards Shree Thakorjee by giving up our pride.
In his address, P. Tyagvallabhswami said that, the festival of Annakutotsava is celebrated to present our devotion towards Shree Thakorjee in the New Year and, explaining the value and importance of Shikshapatri, which was written addressing to His follower devotees by Lord Swaminarayan, in our life, he said that, by daily reference of it, the pure/real devotion comes in our life and it develops qualities like discipline, discretion and atmiyata in our life.
Then, by welcoming all the guests and the dignitaries with his word-flowers, the regional saint leader of Gyanyagna Pradesh P. Guruprasadswami thanked them for coming and increasing the tempo and spirit of all the devotees.
Then, P. Dinkarbhai, who specially came from Chicago on this occasion, said in his speech that, the gift of Atmiya Vidyadham given by P.P. Hariprasadswmiji to Vidyanagar is not only for the students studying here now but, is His blessings to the future generations also to come and remembered Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Sri Bhaikaka who had worked and sacrificed for the establishment of Vidyanagar.
While blessing all in the sabha at the end, P.P. Hariprasadswmi expressed His pleasure looking at such a vast presence of devotees on this occasion and said that, we won’t be able to experience real peace at heart unless the vices like obstinacy, reverence and envy are removed from our soul/atma and to develop the spirit of sympathy in our life we will have to have friendliness with real saints like a mother. To permanently develop the constant and continuous Dipotsavi at heart, obstinacy, reverence and envy are to be removed from there. We all are really very lucky that, all the 5 incarnations like Lord Shree Ram, Lord Shreekrishna, Lord Shankar, Lord Shree Buddha and Lord Shree Mahavir came to the soil of Gujarat. We want our eyes to see only the right/proper things, tongue to eat and speak the right things, ears to listen only to the proper/right things and the mind to think only the right and good/proper things and, only when we do that, we will start getting real thoughts in our mind which is not possible without the company of real/pure/sacred saints and he advised to keep good friends to make the life a success. He blessed all on this occasion of New Year that, may the vices of obstinacy, reverence and envy as well as of passion, anger and greed be removed from their life and the spirit of harmony, friendliness and unity be developed.
Then, along with Guruhari P.P. Swamishree and P. Dinkarbhai, all the guests had participated in performing arti of Annakut before Shree Thakorjee after which, everybody proceeded to his destination taking the Prasad.
Participating in this festival of Annakutotsava, the MLA from Anand Dist. Sri Dilipbhai Patel, the vice Chancellor of Anand Agri. University Sri N.C. Patel Sir and other social-political leaders and the leaders from education field had also taken the benefit of darshans, divine religious speeches and the Prasad.
